My Favorite Things to Support MS
Join us in The MS Stage program, but in the meantime, check out this list of some of my favorite things that I use regularly to support my body and healing journey with MS!
Whether you are in search of teas, yoga mats, cleaning products or books, I have chosen many of my faves for you. The #1 place to start would obviously be the programs and offerings of The MS Stage, wink wink, but check out the list below for inspirations in the meantime.
*Please Note: These are all brands I use and believe in, but in full transparency, I do get commission from some of them.*
Health & Wellness Tools
Here is a list of some of my must haves and favorite health and wellness tools for your MS or autoimmune journey. I use all of these items either daily or at the very least a few times a week, and help me in a multitude of ways. Email me with any questions about them.
Quick Fold Cane - Michael Graves Design
I kept seeing the Michael Graves quick fold cane on instagram and immediately wanted one. They are sleek and functional! Two of my favorite qualities. I can push a button to make it fold quickly and drop it into my backpack when I travel. I can even fold it and hang it on the table when we go out to dinner so it doesn’t constantly fall over - an issue I had with my other cane. So I highly recommend this one for function, ease, and looks! Use Code: themsstage for 10% off

Cionic
In just 2 weeks, the Cionic Neural Sleeve helped me walk better, faster and easier on steps and in life. It really has been a game changer.
My tip with this device is to go slowly. It can be a lot on the nervous system, so let your sweet nervous system get used to it and build up to using it more and more and turning it up bit by bit. I got so excited the first day and wore it way too much and learned my lesson. But you know your body better than anyone so feel into it. For a $50 off discount use this code: themsstage

By Acre Carbon Ultralight
I have never owned or used a rollator before, but Craig and I decided it would be a good thing to have with us just in case I need it for a long walk or even taking a break to sit down while on a big Europe trip. I see it as a tool that can help me enjoy the moment. It could lessen any stress response with travel for you or just day-to-day ease. It is so light weight and comes in cool colors. I ordered the racing green. I now aptly named her “Little Bug.”

Neufit
I learned about Neufit through Dr. Wahls who is a big believer in this product as she uses it herself on a regular basis. I attended an MS Bootcamp last summer at their Austin headquarters, and after only two days, began to notice a difference already in my motion to get my left leg into my car. I was often having to pick up my leg to do so. Now, I have purchased the Neubie device for my own use multiple times a week at home to improve my function. It is a large investment in time and money, but to me it was worth it for function for the rest of my life. You can also rent it monthly. Contact them for options.

Earthing Yoga Mat
You can ground the old fashioned way by walking barefoot on the beach or in the grass, which I also love to do. But you can also practice yoga in your home plugged into the grounding elements of the earth which is super cool too and has been shown to improve pain and function.Check out this important company and all they have to offer.

Doterra oils have been wonderful for me on so many levels! They are great to help with sleep and allergies, pain and swelling, and overall healing. With protocols for MS, migraines, Lyme, anxiety, and so many different ailments or diagnosed, I highly recommend giving them a try. CVS cane
When I bought my cane, I took myself to CVS alone and chose to get one in an empowered way. I picked out a fun color, and was kind of excited in a weird way knowing it would help me when I needed it. I went at it not from a victim role but from a champion one. I use it for long distances when I need it and days when I’m tired. It’s awesome for travel because it folds up super easily. Sometimes I even use it as a prop when I dance during The MS Stage too.

Cookbooks
We all know diet is a huge part of living with and healing MS. Our gut is so connected to our immune system, so it’s incredibly important to heal and nurture it, as well as, our brains while dealing with MS. This list of cookbooks are my favorites from my shelf and ones that I use regularly and reference to gain inspirations, recipes, and great information.
The Wahls Protocol by Dr. Terry Wahls
It wasn’t until spring of 2018 when I first learned about Dr. Wahls. I had my worst MS exacerbation a few months earlier and someone had suggested I watch Dr. Wahls’ Ted Talk “Minding Your Mitochondria”. I was already gluten, dairy, grain, and sugar-free at the time, so I didn’t know what else she could possibly tell me that I didn’t already know. But I watched and bought this book and after adding more fat into my diet, I instantly noticed my brain fog lessened.

Against All Grain by Danielle Walker
In 2014 I had a doctor in LA suggest that I go grain free when I complained about waking up in the middle of the night every night hungry. I had already been gluten and dairy free at that point for a long time, so when she said that I told her it was impossible What was I going to eat? She said, “try it for 30 days and see how you feel.” Craig agreed to try it with me, and the rest is history. People said I looked like a different person. I had been feeding inflammation and didn't even know it. This book gave me hope for how I could still eat good food.

It’s really important that you surround yourself with clean products in your home as that is where you sleep and possibly spend most of your time. Here are a few of my nonnegotiables.

Ecos Shielding Paint
People thought I was crazy when I told them I was using shielding paint in my house. Or at least they had no idea what it is. We live super close to a cell tower, and I am always cautious of EMFs and do everything I can to protect from getting too many of them especially since I am at my computer all day. It’s one of the reasons we turn our wifi off at night because its the prime time for our bodies and immune systems to heal and repair. This is the paint I use not just for shielding but also for interior paint since it is beyond the normal No VOC paint. It has absolutely nothing bad for you.

This book was one of the very first I bought on my MS journey. Louise Hay was a wise woman, and her affirmations for healing your life are right on. Not sure how she knew that us MS’ers are very hard on ourselves but she did.

Life Visioning by Michael Bernard Beckwith
When I lived in LA at the beginning of my MS journey, I would attend Reverend Michael Beckwith’s Sunday Services at Agape International Spiritual Center. It is always an uplifting experience to be in his presence and singing their songs. Those services helped me through a lot in those days. The meditations I write and lead are in many ways inspired by Reverend Beckwith as I guide empowering visions for women on their journeys.
